So, I kinda sorta really love this picture. Check out slightly scared expression. :)) Although, looking back now, I didn’t really have any reason to be frightened. Baby elephants are the cutest!
Well, time flies fast.
Visited Mystical Myanmar, Spectacular Singapore and Intoxicating Indonesia last September (can you tell I love alliterations?). Spent 18 days exploring incredible cities and monuments and meeting great people (PLUS seeing my high school classmate and friends I met in Busan in Jakarta!).
It’s definitely one of my travel goals to see all the countries of Southeast Asia (love your own!), and this trip just brought me closer to achieving that. :)
Had a very special person arrive in Manila the day after my flight from Bali landed. :)
Took the Licensure Examination for Teachers on the 29th of September and solved a work-related mathematics problem in under 30 seconds because this special person was able to teach me how. :D
Miss you already, love. Can’t wait to see you in person again. :)
Just got back from Phuket, Thailand today - stayed in the most amazing five-star resort and got a free flight from Cebu Pacific Air! :)
And look what news greeted me in Phuket:
So I’m a professional teacher now :’) So happy!
P.S. Thinking of starting a travel blog. If you know how to design a website, please message me and let’s talk :)
One more month ‘til 2014. :)
I mention my dad a lot in this blog, but usually just to highlight how similar our senses of humor are.
I see my dad once or twice a week. We usually watch a movie and then chat (and pick up new jokes from each other) over dinner. Today, I asked him to accompany me to the Fully Booked pre-Christmas sale in BHS.
Today was a bit of a departure from our usual topics of conversation. While he was driving me home, we had a brief, but nevertheless important, chat about my plans for the future and his thoughts on them. Instead of shooting down some of my wild ideas, he gave me advice that lifted my spirits.
Even though my dad and I have our disagreements, the chat reinforced that he wants me to succeed in everything I do. I know that he’ll support my aspirations, and will always be there to offer his guidance; there to remind me that I should believe in myself, my loved ones and my faith.
Thank you, Daddy, for giving me renewed hope for those crazy dreams I’ve never really given up on. :)
Thin privilege is being able to see people of your own body type in Les Miserables.
Like, really. It’s my favorite musical, but there was not one single even remotely overweight person in the whole movie.
THEY WERE STARVING
AND THEY WILL STARVE AGAIN, UNLESS THEY LEARN THE MEANING OF THE LAW.
Okay I like this version better than the one I reblogged earlier HAHA
Can we take a moment and mourn the day tumblr learned the word privilege and started to over-apply it to absolutely everything?
will probably reblog this for the rest of forever
When I was watching the HP 4 movie, I remember getting surprised at Dumbledore’s reaction, because it was completely the opposite of what happened in the book.
Either way, this is too funny to not be reblogged.
